Djurgardens, who upset Lazio in the last round, will be using the 3 Arena as their home ground. Which is an artificial turf pitch, and Maresca cannot help. But worry that the Blues players could be injured. While they have a crucial league game this weekend when they host champions Liverpool.

“Of course it’s a concern, I’m concerned about that. But we’re not at a moment where we can say we’ve made a decision to save our main players for Sunday.” Maresca said.
“This is a semi-final, this is a European competition and we want to reach the final,”
“Playing on artificial pitches is completely different. I know even the players complain about it in the past. They play every week, but for us it’s different.”
“However, there is no excuse. There is no reason for us not to play tomorrow, including the second game.”
Chelsea will be without Roméo Lavia, who was omitted from the squad for load management reasons. And injured players Robert Sánchez and Christopher Nkunku.
